Archie is the older brother of Jasper, the ringmaster of the Lanturnacht Circus. Before Jasper took it over, the circus belonged to Archie and was known as "Bozo's Circus". The circus has been in the Bozoni family for generations.
When his father, Archibald II, brought home a little ball of black and orange feathers when Archie was seven, he was none too pleased. Unlike his father, who didn't believe in superstition, little Archie believed strongly in the curse of the Jinx. He always worried that the young Jinx would bring misfortune to their family. Every time something bad happened at the circus, Archie was quick to blame Jasper, even if his younger brother where no where near the incident. Eventually, Archie grew to accept his younger brother and stopped blaming EVERY little thing on Jasper. Archibald Sr. groomed Archie to take over the circus as ringmaster, while Jasper trained in beast taming and flashier endeavors.
When Jasper left to travel the world, Archie even felt a little lonely. Jasper had truly become his brother, and Archie missed his unique ideas and strange mannerisms. However, their relationship went South when Archibald Sr died in a tragic accident. Archie's superstitious nature came back in full force, and he blamed Jasper for their father's untimely passing. For years, he continued to blame Jasper for something that he simply had nothing to do with.
Depressed by the passing of his beloved father, the circus suffered. Archie's "family" in the circus did their best to try and bring Archie back to his old self, but he was never quite the same. Eventually Jasper, now affluent from his world travels, offered to help fund the circus. Archie reluctantly agreed. As much as he distrusted the Jinx, he loved the circus and wanted to see it blossom again. But he never regained the numbers that the circus had drawn in its heyday. It seemed that Archie and Bozo's Circus were ruined.
Then, Jasper took over the circus when Archie could no longer repay him. Archie was bitter, of course; Jasper took his precious circus and turned it into a freakshow! But he couldn't deny that people were suddenly flocking back to the circus in numbers that Archie hadn't seen since he was a child. He heard screams of terror coming from the tents, but the people always left with bright smiles on their faces and chatting excitedly about what they had seen and how frightening it had been. Eventually, Archie returned to the circus after being disposed, and helps Jasper in various ways.
He doesn't show Jasper the same level of hostility as before, and has even helped him out with Lanturnacht shenanigans, but he has yet to apologize for blaming their father's death on him.
