Artificial was created by a secret laboratory out of the curiosity of science under the project H.O.M.U.N.C.U.L.U.S; Acronym yet to be known.
At the moment, any previous data is unknown.
What is known is he strives to kill off the human race and recreate them as homunculus , quite like himself. Although his intentions are good, his acts are evil.

New information has gathered that Artificial was created by none other than the acclaimed Dr. Chester King, who used his science-magic to bring this being to life in attempt to create the perfect survival living organism. Built to withstand the most extreme environments, Artificial has lived up to his birth intentions. However, with the mental defect to desire change in the flaws of the current races, he is driven to destroy the current human race and recreate them as beings like himself, so therein, the human race will be able to survive just about any condition the world may throw at it.

It is said that the power to do that lies in the shell that covers most of his body. However, the only way to get it to work is to ultimately crush every bone in Artifical's body to get all the pieces to fit back together. So, sacrifice of himself would be the only way; which he doesn't mind, but, along with such power, something else awakens inside him. But that, has yet to be understood.
