Avenge is a out-worldly machine with the ability to gain and process emotions. A extremely intelligent race, his species is revered as human-like, but machines nonetheless. His homeland is in another galaxy, one he abandoned with his comrade Misanthropy. Avenge and Misanthropy are like brothers, and ensure to keep one another safe. However, both have a deep dislike of humans, and although Avenge is taking steps to try and understand humans, Misanthropy refuses to believe there is any good in them. Like Avenge, Misanthropy can absorb emotions, but can't 'feel' them unless he understands, and so far, all they understand is hatred.
However, being the one more open to exploring these inhabitants and their emotions, Avenge has learned or compassion and joy, but barely enough to feel them himself. He enjoys these emotions, and wishes to learn more of compassion, since he admires that in a person.
But to be able to feel a emotion, he must see, hear, witness it. This may be as simple as watching a child play and expression joy over his toys, or it could be as complicated as reading pheromone, hormone, and the mind waves of an individual as they express anger. With this being said, he has recorded many emotions, but the second part is understanding, to which needs explanation by a person, or sometimes further observance. This, is the more difficult part, and he often seeks out help to better understand the emotions.

He's all super strong like you and most of the other guys here I know. I just get to turn into a spirit and can fly, and shapeshift a bit, minor magic, so it's not as cool as super strength - does a silly pose to act strong and animate herself- I'd give up minor magic and flying to be super strong. seriously, it must be nice. |
