Young Queen Isabel had been suffering from a mysterious illness. With no heir or husband to speak of she grew worried of her peoples future. Of her knights there were three as wise as they were skilled in battle. She sent them out to find a cure with the promise to marry the knight who brought her back to health. First knight to come brought with him a scholar who study primarily in medicine. The studied man looked over Izzi to see what he could make of her symptoms then went to work on making several medicines. Each he gave to the queen and each had no lasting effect, one made the sickness worse. Second knight brought with him a medicine woman from a village far away. The woman had been know to cure many unknown ailment with her strange tactics. The queen was against it at first but allowed the woman to preform her healing ritual. While she no longer felt pain from the sickness it did not cure her and she soon ran a fever. Third knight came he had with him the town book keeper. He had many books on everything from practical treatments to mythical healing items. Many thing mentioned in the books had either been tried or sounded too ridiculous to work. Among them was the book of life which spoke of a small tree. The small tree was said to cure anything and possibly make a person younger. Izzi had the knights bring her back one of these trees. The leaves were ground up and made into a healing tea following a recipe in the book. The queen drank the mixture and was healed in only a few minutes. Pleased that she was no longer suffering and would not have to leave her people leaderless. Izzi gave the two knights who had made their best efforts a large plot of land and much gold. To her people she made it known these good men saved their queen. Queen Isabel spoke of the knight who brought her to health and who would be their king.
