Kristine was your average brainiac, usually found in a library with her nose in a book. That was, until she came across The Book. This book contained many secrets, and had been buried, burnt, and attempted to be destroyed multiple times, but no matter what was done to the book, it always came back. Always.
So, what was so special about this book? Well, this book kept a very large record of all diseases, viruses and illnesses known to man. It told every aspect of the sickness one could think to know; how it affected the carrier, how it was caught, how it was killed , etc. etc. however, upon reading any part of this book, the reader is plagued with whatever illness they read upon. Even if they just read the first few words of the illness, that's what they are plagued with almost instantaneously.
Kristine had figured this out the hard way, catching a sever case of the flu and soon after, bronchitis, and even further after, strep. It was through the fifth illness did she figure out the curse of this book. However, she also knew that with ever illness, there was a listed cure, and with this information, she could help save millions. So, dubbing herself 'the Keeper' she became the guardian of this book and it's secrets, never letting anyone else read from it, but instead only allowing herself to read it. She however, has limited herself to one sickness at a time, as sometimes the illness can be quite hard on her form.
Aside from keeping this book, Kristine is a pretty shut-in type of girl, usually being quite in crowd setting and simply blending into the background. She will talk to you however, but only if you initiate the conversation, and ultimately, keep it going, as she will often try to get back to her studies otherwise. But once befriended, she can be a great source of information and advice, loving to help in any way she can; but then again never wanting to be intrusive and so, will only help upon request.
What she doesn't realize about herself is, that after taking full responsibility of the book, she has inherently become a consuming angel. She consumes the truth, able to hide information from people and easily cause people to forget, quite like Forsaken. Though, she doesn't know that much about her gift, having only used it once or twice; able to feed off her own source of knowledge, or taking from those who have read her book. Though, she usually is pretty good about not letting people read from it.
