Lucid, aka Luci, is the daughter of Floyd. She manages his book store as well as does the accounting for his restaurant. She is actually not fond of doing the books. Though she is very good with numbers, they bore her greatly. She is always pushing her father to hire someone else for the job, but he reasons, "Why spend the extra money when I have you?"

She loves the book store. Though it is technically owned by Floyd, she privately thinks of it as her own. She enjoys nothing better than spending her day among volumes of written word. Her favorite section is the Children's Corner. She considers some of the characters found there to be her first friends and loves sharing them with a new generation.
