"I'm so glad you came for lunch." the little girl said cheerily
"It's all my pleasure." the young lady replied with similar enthusiasm.
"Indeed." She grinned. There was a dark air about the child but the woman didn't seem to notice.
"Eat your food Maddy, before it gets cold." the older man at the table said shaking his finger at the child. Maddy nodded and complied.
"Your niece is absolutely delightful." the young lady gushed.
"She is." the man nodded, silently musing how looks can be very decieving.
The lunch proceeded in silence. The woman was slowly getting a little uncomfortable. The child gave her some very eerie vibes. The man, her mentor didn't seem to be himself today. There was a feeling of darkness all over the place. The child was scaring her a little. She shifted in her chair trying not to look at either of her two companions. A sinister grin spread over Maddy's lips, the woman tried not to notice.
"I think I should leave..." she said and began to get up.
"So soon?" Maddy asked innocently
"Yes, dear, don't you think it's a little too soon. I'd like for you to stay." the man agreed.
"No... I don't.." the woman fumbled for a reply.
"Drink." Maddy suddenly extended a glass with a clear drink in it towards her. There was an eerie authority in her voice and a sinister look in her eyes. But the woman couldn't help but comply.
She finished her drink and placed it on the table. As she then began to get up, she found her knees trembling. Her feet didn't seem capable of taking her weight any longer. Her head begun to spin. The woman collapsed on the floor as Maddy turned to look at the man with a sinister grin on her face.
