A odd case to be told, One is a renegade demon who rejected his heritage for the 'better' path. Once a demon of suffering, it was his job to devour 'suffering' in a sense, which meant causing people to suffer, usually unnecessarily. Some would call him life, as he would be the one responsible for all the bad that would come into your life. Every evil deed done to cause someone's suffering, directly or inadvertently, he would be behind it; either as cause or motivation. Suffering was his food, it kept him alive and hungry for more, without suffering, One would cease to exist. However, after witnessing an act of kindness despite suffering, One chose to take a new path.

On this new path, One's appearance changed drastically. His dull grey-brown feathers turned bleach white, his hair as well changing. Everything about him changed, going from a hideous demon to a beautiful, angelic appearance; though he wasn't an angel. Not yet at least. You see, to become a angel, one must go through a series of tasks, mostly to make sure you really 'want' to be an angel. These tasks are difficult for human, and near impossible for demons. Nevertheless, One is taking his chances and striving to end suffering and become an angel in the process.

As you might imagine, this takes a heavy toll on him, since his body is used to 'feeding' off of suffering, and now, instead of fueling it and causing suffering, he is stopping it. This, naturally is causing him to starve. Although he can eat normal food and maintain himself that way, he is still not satisfying the crave his body yearns for. So, physically, he looks malnourished, though he covers this up with several layers of clothes, hiding his ribs and obvious starved look. He seems to brush this off as one of his 'tests', though, it might be his breaking point, no matter how hard he tries.

So, what does he do then? Well, he uses his hunger to be able to find where suffering is located; usually with people being abused or neglected. Then, once he find the people who are suffering, he takes them away from that situation and finds them a new place to live or somewhere safer for them. Sometimes he simply takes care of whatever is causing their suffering, but either way, he makes sure they are no longer suffering before leaving them to their lives. To those he saves, he often becomes a foggy memory, most being unable to recall how they got out of their situation, but all in all, he is rarely remembered.

Very kind and gentleman-like, when met face-to-face, One is very polite and courteous. He would seem like he doesn't have a mean bone in him, though this is false. He gets protective over things he cares for and doesn't hesitate to use force to protect them. Though, he usually tries to reason first. If you ever met him, you probably wouldn't believe he was once a demon.
