The song of a broken heart
Introduction
The woman was as beautiful as her song. Her long tresses were dark blue and shone like the scales of a fish in the clear water of a brook. Her skin was pale and flawless and her eyes, a shade as blue as the ocean she looked at longingly and as hard as the stony shores she sat on. She sung a song that was melodious and sad.
On seeing you a hint of a smile came up on her face and she stopped singing "Greetings traveler! I see my song brought you here." she said "Come, sit with me. Today, I don't want to avenge. I only want to share and let go of the burden that's on my heart." You raised an eyebrow at her words but wen ahead and sat beside her anyway. She looked at you and sighed. "Thank you for giving me company. I'm so lonely and the sea makes me feel even more so. Yet, I come here everyday and sing. I hope my companions would come back and take me with them but they don't. They have already abandoned me and I don't see why they'd take me back. Now, I'm destined to live a life of solitude." her voice shook as she said this but she forced a smile up on her lips and said "Anyway, I'm Taliya. May I know your name?" You give her your name and she smiles at you. "Well, nice to meet you. Would you mind if I shared some grief with you today? Only because I don't have anyone else. As I said I'm very lonely." You nodded and she gave you a faint smile in gratitude before starting her story.
"I am a siren. Now don't you fret, I mean no harm to you. Just sit back with calm and listen to me. Like all others of my kind, I too lived with a tribe of my people. We were the most exquisite creatures ever to be born from the sea. And what we hated most, were the mortals. The men in particular. Don't ask me why because there was no reason for it. None that I knew or was told of, at least. The only motive we lived for was to kill them. Our song, our beautiful song lured them into the sea and our beauty brought them into our captivity. Then, we murdered them." she paused on seeing you squirm and sighed "I know what you feel like. I felt exactly the same. Why murder them? We had no reason to and we had no right to? I never understood the hate in the hearts of my companions and I doubt they did either. But they still killed because that's what we had done since forever. That was the explanation I was offered all the time. I never understood it and I had begun to hate myself and my companions for it
"Well, things were about to take a whole new turn. The man who had ventured into the sea, enchanted by our song, was the captain of a merchant ship. A handsome young man." her eyes twinkled and a smile came up on her lips "At first I felt pity on him like I did with all other men that we captured. But soon I realized this was something different. I had fallen in love with him. I still remember every little detail of him today. I was so infatuated with him. I decided that this time, I would not let him die. He was my love after all and I couldn't just sit there and watch him murdered by my own companions. So when no one was looking, I sneaked inside the cave where we kept our prisoners and unbound him. He was unconscious but alive because we had used our spell to keep him alive till we..." her voice trembled and she swallowed "...murdered him. I swam with him out to the shore where he regained consciousness. Oh, how attractive he was! His dark brown hair, wet with the sea water stuck to his cheeks and his amber eyes were so enchanting!" she looked at you, a grin on her face and then flushed "I apologize. I got a little carried away. Well, he looked at me and I could see a dread in his eyes. 'I won't kill you' I assured him 'I saved you.' He looked confused and befuddled. But after some time he regained his wits. 'Why?' he asked me 'Why did you save me' I told him of how much I loved him and how it inspired and motivated me to help him." her smile was gone. She looked heart broken and angry "You would expect him to be grateful and thank me. You would expect him to love me back. But no. He laughed at me and he looked at me with disgust. 'You're a monster.' that's what he said 'I can never trust you. You have a murderess inside you. You are and will always remain a monster' I was shocked is the least I can say. But more than that I was heart broken. For the first time, I actually cried. I wept and wailed but he simply left me there on the shore to cry and waste away with grief.
"Of course, that was no use, so I went back to my companions. Obviously, they had found out about what I did by now. They refused to take me back. How could they trust me after what happened? I don't blame them. I was the one who was stupid. I thought that a man could actually love me back. My companions were right. Men are not worth anything but the weapon you use to kill them." At first you felt sorry for her and were about to console her but at her last words you froze. She continued speaking.
"That's what I have decided to do. Revenge. That is all I want. I know now why my people kill men. It's because they're heartless and ungrateful creatures. All of them. And now, all I want is revenge on them. That's what I have been doing ever since.Yes, I kill them, though not always. Sometimes, I just leave them to suffer and lament over me like the Captain did to me all those years ago. That's what I do. That's what they're worth." She turned to you and smiled "Thank you for listening to me. I feel much better now." She got up and walked away leaving you dumbstruck and frozen where you were.

Looks Human: Click (temporary) In her human form, she is quite tall and beautiful, like all other people of her race. She has long dark blue hair that appears flows down her shoulders fluidly ((pun intended//shot)). Her skin is rather pale looking, though this is because she now spends most of her time outside the sea and it makes her much weaker. She has blue eyes that have a hard, stony look about them. Her wardrobe is really just dresses and heels, she rarely wears anything else. She also has silver wave like patterns all over her back and part of her right arm and her leg. This is one of the only things that remain of her life as a siren with her companions.
Personality Seductive is what you can call her. Everything about her is to charm others, especially men. She appears to be a kind and sweet girl though this is quite obviously a charade. Taliya is manipulative at the best and can charm almost anyone into loving her. Though once she has made someone fall in love with her, she plays with them and ultimately leaves them, breaking their heart like her's was broken a long time ago. If she can't achieve that, she simply kills them because if there is one thing she can't handle is defeat. She is cold and ruthless, always willing to murder and won't mind doing someone else's dirty job as long as she gets to do it her own way.
Quirky facts
1) She works as a singer at a club at late night. Though she does not sing her 'real song' at the club.
2)Her real song, doesn't comprise of any words only a mournful music that is hauntingly beautiful. This she sings when alone at the sea shore hoping that her companions will come and take her back.
