Tribute is a spirit of nature. Her kind have gone by many names in the past and have all but been forgotten in modern times. As she was looking for a place of hibernation and renewal one season, she came across a lonely child building fairy houses. Sensing the child's isolation and sadness she created a companion for her. Oleander was given life on a whim and then forgotten in favor of her rest.
Years went by with out her giving any more thought to the child or her creation. There were many other things to keep her occupied. Her lands were being blasted and striped to gather rock. She was fighting a losing battle in keeping all of the creatures under her care safe.
Thirty-three years passed and she came across the site of a grumpy and lonely Oleander being pounced upon by his adopted fox kit. As she watched the interaction, she was once again assaulted by a powerful impulse to give a companion to this unfortunate. After all, he was her responsibility even above the others in her keep. He would not lead this solitary existence if not for her. So she took up some of the rock lying about where the quarry met the wood and once again breathed life.
