A old-fashion kind of guy, James is somewhat less than forthcoming when it comes to the 'new'. He's not opposed to it, just weary of it. However, if he ends up liking what he finds, he will praise it like a golden calf. Nevertheless, he has yet to give up his favorite hand pistol or his horse, to which he prefers to ride instead of the circus's transportation.
When encountered on his own, James can be quick witted, charming and perhaps a bit on the perverted side. He means no true harm though, and after befriending, he will be loyal and true until the end. He's not afraid to stand up for what he believes to be right, nor will he ever back down from a fight, even when he's on the losing end. Determined and rash, he con sometimes be seen as hardheaded and thick-skinned. He does have a heart however, though he prefers to hide his emotions, he will let a few people in. Although, thanks to a past he'd rather forget, he is very guarded and doesn't let anyone in that easy.
All around, he's a nice guy and good friend if ever you need one.
