Journeys with Wrak & Chirond
Wrak is an old Skillow with a blind right eye, and a missing tail feather. Wraks family died when he was young, and he has spent his life living independently, and traveling further than most Skillows are used to. Wrak doesn't feel like he belongs with other Skillows, finding little in common in either life experience or temperament. Wrak is wise to the ways of the world, his experiences have left him not easily impressed, but he prefers to avoid others all together, finding solace in the dark quiet moments of the night, where he is alone with his thoughts. Wrak's only companion in life is his faithful sidekick, the Chiropetran Chirond. Chirond is a fierce fighter, and a fiercer friend. He has a sixth sense for danger, and impeccable timing. Wrak refuses to admit how much he relies on the bat, and treats him as a brother since the day he first saved his life. Chirond, like Wrak, finds little to do living a simple life in a quiet village, and loves the adventurous lifestyle they lead. Camping out, fighting bandits, doing odd jobs for travelers and such.

Part 1
Wrak sat on the branch of a squat maple tree, and strummed idly at his banjo. He was waiting for his friend Chirond to get back from town. While staring into their campfire with his good eye, he thought to himself, but his thoughts kept being interrupted with worry about the Chiropteran.
"Heh.. who am i kidding." Wrak chided himself "Chirond is as tough unarmed as I am with a sword. I need to get my mind off things until he gets back."
Wrak sat down his banjo by the base of the tree, and hopped off the low hanging branch.
"What I need is a quick breeze to lighten my mood." and with that, Wrak took flight, soaring high into the air above their campsite, heading toward the forest.
Wrak flew over the woodlands, idly swooping low, and veering slightly toward the left. He stopped to land at the top of a giant oak tree when he heard a noise.
Below him two dark figures had pinned a purple Nokwi against the tree. One of them spoke
"Wilose, you know you can't just sneak away from or arrangement. We have a deal." Said the hooded figure, that Wrak thought sounded like a Gourix. "..and you know how mad Jynroch gets when somebody breaks a deal."
The larger one turned into the light, showing him to be an older Inarbu. Thickly muscled, heavily scarred. Dangerous. The meek looking Nokwi unsuccessfully tried to press himself further into the tree, whimpering. "Innex, Proff, see reason! I.. I ca..cant just m-make the money appear!" "Thats just not our problem, is it proff?" Innex said grinning as he glanced to the Inarbu.
Wrak had heard enough. He knew the name Jynroch. Jyn was an Ahbruis who ran a gambling den by the Sango. Not the kind of person you wanted to owe money to. Wrak made up his mind. Those two were going to beat the poor Nokwi senseless if he didn't stop them. So he had to work quick.
The Inarbu turned away from the Nokwi for just a moment, having heard a rustle in the bushes. Just as he turned Wrak dived down, raking at the face of the Gourix. Innex dove to the side, rolling, and coming up soiled with mud, with his hand clamped over his forehead. "By Boreal! who the blazes are you!?" he shouted. The Inarbu, no longer distracted, turned on the bird, and readied to charge forward and dispatch him with one powerful swipe. But he only took two steps before stumbling to his knees, and falling face down in the mud. Behind him a leathery creature not unlike a Frodrinn, stood holding a heavy looking wooden branch.
"Chirond! Perfect timing as always hahaaa!" Wrak chirped, drawing his blade and pointing at the Gourix. "Not so brave without your big buddy here to protect you, eh Innex?" The Gourix snarled, and flashed his teeth at the three. "Your going to regret this bird, Jynroch wont be pleased you mucked up his plans!" Innex dropped to all fours, and set off at a lope, leaving his prone friend and victim in his wake.
"W-wow! You guys are awesome! Th-thanks so much, ill never gamble again.. whoo boy, thats for sure... Listen... I have to go, I dont want to be hear when sleepy bear over there wakes. The names Wilose. Look me up next time your in Kingdom Village!" And with that the Nokwi sped down the trail deeper into the forest.
Wrak sheathed his blade and turned toward his friend. "Chirond, it is good to have you back. I dont know how you found us, but you always seem to know when im in danger... by the way... i hope you had no difficulties in getting me the supplies i requested?"
The bat grinned, hefting a sack over his shoulder. He pulled a chocolate chip cookie from it, tossing it to Wrak. "I just look for trouble, and I usually find you there..."
