Samuel grew up in a rich family. He was pampered more then he was raised, so when his parents were killed due to some sort of act of gang violence he didn't care. He didn't pity them much; they didn't care any one but themselves, not even each other. That's how it usually goes these days: rich families "blessed" with the ability to feel only to waste them on material objects on themselves. If they weren't killed then, he would have done it sooner or later.

Their deaths didn't matter to him. In fact, he was fascinated with the idea.

Gangs. They were rebels with power. A little scatterbrained, quite much that, but with the right set of directions they could find a way to rebuild the world into a place... a perfect place. A paradise.

That was the idea. And luckily, there were others out there. The same ideals, same mind set, same life stories.

Everything was clear like a puzzle with no missing pieces.
