As a little girl she's loved nothing more than to work along side her father charting the stars with all the maps he'd make and the journals he'd write. Every night he'd sit in her bedroom and read her stories from the stars. So she always idolized him. As she grew older she took care of her father and late at night would find him passed out at his desk marking more charts and maps. This always made her smile. She would cover him up and steal his journals to read them and what her father had discovered and new thoughts. It always calmed her down and relaxed her. She, at times, fell asleep with her father's journals which ended up her getting caught, but he was never too cross with her knowing her love and commitment for things. Like father, like daughter.

One day her father was asked to go with a navy crew to chart the stars and lead them towards their destination to which he happily agreed to. That day, Cat kissed her father goodbye and wished him luck on his voyage and vowed to meet him when he landed that she'd be on the next ship out. She was. Even though she could not go with her father she got to experience everything he did as she followed in a separate ship. They were heading to China when disaster struck. Late one night a third ship joined the fleet, except this one wasn't part of the plan. Cannon fire woke up Cat and loud explosions plagued the once peaceful night air. She rushed to the side of her boat only to witness her father's ship under attack. Cat freaked trying to plea the Captain to go help but he just spun their ship around to head back, not wanting any part of the battle.

From the distance she recognized the enemy flag, Pirates. She watched helpless as a line hooked to her father's boat and small glowing balls go across into her father's boat. It wasn't long before a loud explosion and flames took over the night sky. Nothing was left of her father's ship. She had lost the only person she cared for in her life. At this she was devastated and vowed to seek revenge for her father, but most of all follow in his footsteps. From there on she took her father's job and took on his discoveries for herself.

Through new line of work, she pushed her way into multiple voyages hoping to run into the same pirates from that night, and she did or at least one of them, the Pyro.

This wasn't the same pirate crew who killed her father, but the Pyro who set her father's ship on fire and listened to them burn was on this new crew. She tried to get her vengeance but that plan failed. So now instead of trying to take him out she's learned to live with what happened and just focus on being happy. She fell in love with this new Captain and now she sails around the world with him. Together they go on many adventures and life couldn't be better.
