Those who seek will find, even if it is not to be what had been expected. Such is the way of life. Such is the way of me.

Once, I had everything: a nice home, a loving mate, adoring children, plenty of friends and family. One day, my life turned for the worst, and I lost everyone. The only one who remained was my darling Gwyneira, my Snow Fox. Our home was merely ashes, and its inhabitants merely souls of the dead. No matter how much time and energy I put into it, nothing could be done to change what had happened.

For a few days, I mourned my loss. Then, I took Gwyn and traveled through all of Mistica. Although there were many times when I met others, including Cherans like myself, I chose to be in solitude. One day, however, I met a peculiar young sprite, all alone in Darkwood Hollow. She told me her name was Melanie, and that she was searching for the one who protects darkness, saying that he knew who killed her family.

''Do you think he'd know who killed my family?'' I asked her.

''I am sure he would. He knows everything,'' she replied.''At the very least, that is what a wise, old Anya told me. His foresight is great even for his kind, although such is probably because he is blind.''

Melanie then explained how, although most of the sprites had no idea who the one that protects the darkness is, they did not like the thought of such a being existing, and since she was a bit of an outcast among them anyways due to her fondness of all Misticpals (which is not so bad in itself unless you count the Nightmare ones), she had been traveling alone. That was the thing about sprites: although they were usually very nice and kind, they rejected anyone who had anything to do with the imps and their nightmares. Although Melanie was not exactly a kid, she was still too young to be wandering in Darkwood Hollow alone. Therefore, I asked to join her in her search. She accepted excitedly, and we have been together ever since.

Today, we travel the Mistica along with the various companions we have come across in our journey. Most of our allies we adopted from the Pound. However, that was not the case with Runesyn, whom we randomly came across one day. Something felt wrong from the day we met him, and I just do not trust him. He acts as if it is just a rivalry between us on the surface level, but I can tell it is far more than just that. I may not know what will happen in my future, but such does not scare me like it does some. Who knows, maybe everything will finally be set right.
