Well guys! I am doing it! I am forging a new path and moving on with my life!

It has been real. It has been fun. And it has been real fun. I have made many friends and I will cherish the fond memories that I have with each and every one of you. I have always loved you guys - even when we haven't been on good terms with each other - and I will always love you. So take care of yourselves and each other, ok?

As for why I am leaving I do want to say this. I know in the past I have been a pain in the butt. I am difficult. And I will not sugarcoat, suck up, or lie - things that are sometimes needed in a community like this. It has lead me to be a real jerk, because I do expect greatness. I wouldn't have stuck around for 8 years (on and off) and gotten so emotionally invested in this site if I didn't think it couldn't be successful. However, it is now time for me to leave.

I won't say the lack of progress on this site has not contributed to my leaving. Truthfully, it has. However, it is not the main reason I am leaving. Else, frankly, I would've left for good back in 2013 or even farther back in 2011, when I left for the first time with eyes wide open.

I am leaving because my characters and I simply need to move on. I have been hesitant for a full year about this before. Back in May 2016, I first toyed with the idea of leaving this site and my pets behind. I just couldn't pull the trigger. I loved this site too much. Additionally, so many of my characters first gained conception on this place, it felt dirty to get rid of all of them. But now I have to love my characters, and to an extent myself, more than someone else's site. I need room for them to grow. Room that unlimited pet slots, unfortunately, does not fill. I need a place where I can actually explore more adult writing and themes with my character. Not a place that has a "PG-13, but really a PG" rating. I am no longer the 16 year old girl that first joined Misticpets.com.

So, in short, the main reason I am leaving is so that I can grow as a writer and work on my characters in a place that will cater more effectively to that.

That is why there is no animosity. That is why I have told anyone who asked that I am actually excited to leave. That is why I am happy. And I am happy, ya'll. I truly write this with no hard feelings or resentment. I am happy to have a new place to grow.

Tl;dr I am leaving and I'll miss you all.

With that said, I truly have no intention of logging back on - with the exception of the thing for the person who knows who they are. (7/7/17 done with that nonsense. Bye!) I won't be coming back on for any reason. I simply do not see a need to check up. If you want a pet, wait until my account gets cleared. That is the best I can do for you.

However, I sincerely hope I will meet you all again on a different site. If you want to keep in touch, please feel to hit me up on Skype. I have an open door policy on that. Anyone is welcome to contact me there. I don't care who you are. I will also be updating my characters on my weebly (shush staff, it's a "fan page"! :P) and on toyhou.se. Please feel free to check me out on either of those places and send me your stuff so I can follow you!

Anyhow, this has been a lot longer than I intended so I will end it with this: I wish you all the best that life has to offer. Take care of yourselves and take care of each other.
