Corrosion is a Time Keeper, a watch if you will. He is as old as time itself and has been for as long as he could remember, a guardian of all things sacred. However, as old as he is, he's not considered the smartest of beings. Don't get me wrong, he's smart, but perhaps he's too smart. Or maybe he over thinks things. He does seem to analyze a lot, and finds some simple things, like love, very confusing and contradicting.
But never the less, he is intelligent, and knows quite a bit about the world and how it works, especially the fading part. Over the years, he has taken special interest in how things fade and rust away, living and non-living. He especially loves clocks and watches, and advently collects them; to the best of his ability.
Like a phoenix, Corrosion is a constantly reborn creature. His life span begins where it ends and can last years, eons, or days. Dependant on the planet he resides on, his life begins as a world is born and ends as it falls apart. Although he does not know when this world will end, his physical features show the decay taking place, and by how rusty he is, one can only imagine that it is not too far away.
